Peter Garaj was born in the former
country of Czechoslovakia where he
attended and graduated from
Bratislava’s University of Economics.
Peter’s bold determination and love of
the mountains led him to a successful
career as an international downhill ski
racer, his last ever race, and also first
visit to America, was in Aspen, Colorado.
It was in Aspen that Peter married and
began his family. Today his stainless
steel sculptures can be found in public
and private collections throughout the
United States.
